Fanoos Faroughi is a mother of three. She has a BA in Persian language and Literature and is currently studying an MA in English Language and Applied Linguistics with the University of Birmingham and continuing her MA in Persian Literature and Language at the same time. She has four published novels in Persian. The Secret of the Mountain is her first novel in English.
